Angophora
Patrick Carroll
Dimensions: 209 x 153 cm
Year: 2019
Medium: oil on linen
Description:
One of the last paintings he worked on. Another work to miraculously survive the studio fire, incredible that it wasn't damaged when nearly the whole roof above it had burnt away. He fell in love with the Angophora while bushwalking around different areas of the central coast and decided he couldn’t resist the opportunity to make a bold statement and paint a large scale work to encompass their majesty. He had planned to an exhibition dedicated to his new found love of the Angophoras in Lake Munmorah.
