Another area frequented. Many Southern Tableland subjects were used for his artworks in the book, Around The Boree Log. Dramatic skies were something he would endless observe and then intuitively incorporate into his work. Smoke would’ve been a finishing touch to this work, he’d usually smudge this on with his thumb, breaking up strong horizontals in the work.
