Ping Chen

CHEN Ping is an artist who currently lives and works in Australia. He received his education from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art, China and the School of Art, University of Tasmania, and he is the president of Chinese Contemporary Art Tasmania. CHEN Ping has been awarded grants from Australia Council, Australia-China Council, Art Tasmania, and the Tasmanian Premier. His works have been exhibited in 19 solo exhibitions and 30 group exhibitions in both Australia and internationally. CHEN Ping’s works have been collected by numerous art organisations, universities, galleries, museums, and received critical acclaim from art critics in Australia and internationally. CHEN Ping has been exploring a unique artistic language system in an effort to turn Chinese culture into an international language in order to communicate better with the world.
