He Huang

He Huang has pursued an artistic dream for decades. He is an elite graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. He later taught at the Sculpture Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He has traveled between China and Australia for many years. He is a sculptor and a painter. His works are unique in style and novel in concept, which is loved by domestic and foreign artists; he is called an art person born purely for art. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree. During the period of his studies, the sculpture “Consolation” was selected for the Guangdong Provincial Art Exhibition. After graduation, he stayed on the school for many years. He has participated in the planning of the Guangdong Youth Sculpture Exhibition and has created various large-scale sculptures. His masterpiece is “Freedom Is Not Dead”, standing in Guangzhou Heroes Square; “Imperishable Noble Spirit” is established in the Guangdong Provincial History Museum; the graduation work “Ingot” is collected by the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. In 1988, he went to Australia to study abroad. During his stay in Australia, the sculpture “Jing Si” won the Grand Prize of the All-Australian Sculpture Exhibition; “Warrior” was collected by the Australian Military Museum. During the period, personal exhibitions were held many times, and the works were collected by government agencies, galleries and private collections. Many oil paintings were awarded and exhibited in Australia. He returned to China in 2001. He was a professor at the School of Visual Studies at Fudan University in Shanghai and a visiting professor at the Sculpture Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. During the period, he participated in various large-scale urban sculpture planning and creation. The sculpture “78th” was selected into the national art exhibition and was permanently collected by the Guangdong Museum of Art. The work “Towards the Republic” was selected in the Guangdong Province to commemorate the “Hundred Years of the Revolution” of the Revolution of 1911 and won the gold medal. It was exhibited at the Guangdong Art Museum and the National Art Museum of China, and was permanently collected by the Guangdong Museum of Art. Create a large sculpture – Laozi, placed in Gaozhou; Cui Yu’s Image, and placed in Zengcheng. He Huang both made sculptures and paintings. His sculptures have strong characteristics of the era. The characters he shaped clearly showed his own intergenerational characteristics and cultural sentiments. The sculptor Huang He’s passionate personality and free-spirited character often make people forget that he also has life and artistic problems to face. In fact, he is just good at simplifying life, reducing requirements, and then freeing himself time to create.
