Hazy Escarpment in the Garden of Ku-Ring-Gai
Coco Elder
Dimensions: 90 x 120 cm
Medium: oil on board carved
Description:
This painting is a celebration of all the beautiful native flowers in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase that blossom in Spring in a dense abundance of rich colour, ranging from Beronia, Grevillea, Pultinea and Eriostimen. I always find that a slightly overcast day sets off the colour and heightens the brilliance. The hazt escarpment in the background allows the eye to journey into the distance where Eucalyptus piperita and E.haemastoma grace the standstone hills.
