Angela Lober

Born in Sydney in 1966, Angela Lober started her career as a Landscape Architect in 1990. Her interest in fine art and botany directed her to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Visual Art (Plant and Wildlife Illustration) at Newcastle University in 1995. Angela has been exhibiting in Australia and internationally since 2002 and has a particular interest in the uniqueness of Australian Flora, particularly the productive rainforest species of the east coast. Her work is found in several international collections including the Isaac M Sutton Collection in New York and the Shirley Sherwood Collection in the UK, as well as in the State Botanical Collection, Melbourne, the Florilegium at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney and the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh USA. In 2012 she was awarded a Silver-gilt Medal at the Royal Horticultural Society, London and in 2014 she won the Celia Rosser Medal for Excellence in Botanic Art, in Melbourne. This year she has work showing at Kew Gardens in the UK Shirley Sherwood Gallery and is exhibiting again in London at the Royal Horticultural Society Halls in London.
