Art has been a part of Yvonne's life for as long as she can remember. From an early age she would find pleasure in drawing and painting - the highlights of her schooldays. Her works are abstractions of landscapes, inspired by a developing love of nature and just enjoying the bushland. Much of her inspiration is drawn from local areas including Lane Cove and Ku-ring-gai national park. Over the years she has traveled further afield to the Kimberley, Central Australia and overseas, the flora and geology of the area giving the landscape its unique character. Yvonne has works in public and private collections in Australia and overseas, including the Ku-ring-gai Council, Hornsby Shire Council, Shoalhaven City Council, Cowra Regional Gallery, Manly Art Gallery & Museum, The Hills Grammar School, Public Trustee of New South Wales, Kiama Leagues Club and has won over 100 first prizes in competitions since 1968.
